Default Installing head pipes,HELP!

Guys, I'm in the process of installing MGS duals on my bike. Hit a snag right off the bat. Put my flange on the new pipe, now the ring clip doesn't close tight enough around the new pipe to fit inside the recess on the flange. Anyone else encounter this, and how did you fix it? Is this actually a problem?

I'll normally crimp mine in as best I can but to be honest, I don't know if my retainers fit in the flange all the way around after I install them or not. I've not had a leak yet so it appears the flange/retainer assembly is doing its job.

Make sure the c clip is seated good. I dont see how it wont allow the flange to seat properly unless you stretched the clip taking it off.

I would try a new ring. The old one may have been over extended as previously mentioned. The ring needs to be a good fit so the flange has something to work against.

Had the same issue with mine. It doesn't have to seat all the way. I think the outside diameter of the mgs is a little larger than stock...

Thanks guys, I think the pipe OD is slightly larger than stock. I can slide it down the pipe a couple of inches and it fits. Think I'll just cinch it up and see. Either that or dremel it down maybe a mm or so.
