What's the best sounding slips ons? I want to leave the stock head pipes on and I don't want to de-cat it. Maybe later. For now, I just want a better sound from some after market slip ins.
I like my Klock Werks. I would really suggest trying to listen to some different ones in person. Sifting through crappy sounding videos on YouTube and listening to our biased opinions will only confuse you more.
slip ons make less of a difference with the cat in place.
your best bet is go hear some other bikes, narrow down what YOU like the sound of..ask the Guy what he is running, how he likes it...ask to ride along at speed see how that works out.
some of the guys here are on the 2nd, 3rd or even 4th set of exhaust.
that gets spendy.
do your own research, see what satisfies your expectations.
and buy the right stuff the first time.
I'd suggest you stay warranty compliant until you are sure the motor is a happy one and you won't need to make any claims.
...I use supertrapps ( or the made for screaming eagle version) on a few of my Harleys, they can be tuned for power characteristics, retuned if the motor is built up and can be as loud or as quiet as the rider wants.
