You have no clue do you? Naviextras supplies the maps & the 2014's all have the most current version already installed. Yes, they're dated Dec2012, but even if you've got money in hand & want to update, there's is nothing available that is more current.
You just look there for opportunities to rag on H-D. There's plenty of **** to rag about, but this ain't one of them.
Peace.
I was trying to tell them that on post #17. there is no new map update available.

You have the most current. WOW one less thing to rag out to HD on.

When the update comes available i would expect to see someone share a copies of it.
Those who think just because a unit uses the Garmin GPS engine the updates are free or cheap is mistaken. I put a $900 Kenwood stereo with Garmin GPS in my GMC. Updates are near $100 and no lifetime updates are available.

Yep yep yep I will just email the whole thing to you when they bring it out. I am sure the updates will be simple enough to allow all of us on the forum to update by paying only one time for the group of us. We Harley riders are a very sophisticated bunch. Now I will suggest to you that you shouldn't expect it to happen anytime soon.
I don't know man. Seems like a lot folks on here are just happy to roll over and let HD get over on them. Not trying to sound like a hard ***, but damn.... I work hard for my money, and it sure seems to me that HD didn't keep these bikes priced at the 2012 level. So what is wrong with expecting to get what you paid for? If everyone who has "this issue", or "that issue" with thier bike, decides to just say oh well, then #1, your not getting what you paid for, and #2, your not holding HD accountable to deliver the product you paid for. I've never asked for anything free in my life. I pay my way every step of the way, but I sure as hell am going to get what I paid for. Flame on!
Couldn't agree with you more ! H-D has had blind followers for years who will defend the MoCo with their life while it's corporate leaders/stealers rape them !
nothing is priced the same as it was in 2012. but just for comparison sakes, a 2012 ultra with abs/security was msrp $22694. a 2014 with the same options is msrp $23,644. a total price increase over 2 years of $950. to put it further into perspective, a 2010 ultra in vivid black with abs and security was msrp $22214.00, and that was with a 96ci engine. look at the difference between the 2010 model and the 2014 model and tell me if you think its worth $1430.....
While the 2014 models have had major changes done to them, it's also fair to say that they were 'de-contented' in some respects to keep the 2014 base-prices lower. For example, the 2014 Ultra no longer comes with the saddle-bag rails, front-fender rails, white-wall tires and no CB or CB antenna. Comparing the 2010 Ultra at only a $1,430 difference isn't quite accurate. Without taking the time to look up what are now 'accessories' on the 2014, I'd guess that including labor it's more like a $2,800 increase in pricing.

I still use the old Paper Foldout GPS, if I miss a turn off I just found a new way to get there. Yes I do have a Garmin, and I haven't used it in two years. I am just saying a
missed turn may turn into a new adventure, or a better way to get somewhere.
