Where do you guys put yours, and do they work well there?I installed a 3 bag windshield bag and I was wondering if they work from inside? digging it out of my pocket and holding it up is getting old. Thanx
here in FL we have an option to add our license plates to our accounts
so you don't even have to carry it with you, they just charge you when they read the tag and if they don't get a clean shot of it, well then you just got a free pass
story:
My Pal in Lives N of NYC, works in the City & keeps his motorcycle EZ pass in his riding jacket pocket.
A couple of winters ago he decided to store his bike at a shop and rode over with spouse following him in the suv.
after dropping the bike, he threw his jacket, helmet and gloves in the back of the suv.
It was about 4 months before he noticed that each time he went through a toll he got charged twice...( x a few a day x 5 days a week)
The nice Lady at EZpass explained to him that that is why the ezpass had been delivered to him in a metallic bag to block the RF and avoid spurious charges...and it was an expensive lesson for him.

I don't carry mine any more
Same here in Illinois. I just add my plate number to my account and im good to go. I keep the Ipass (E-Z pass in Illinois) in my Blazer.
RF chip embedded just behind my left ear...only hurts when I go near a radar site....
seriously, In my windshield bag or at home. OK has my license plate, but charges a full fare instead of the EZ Pass dscount fare if it doesn't read my pass
