if you go with 10" ness or Yaffe or Carlini's bars can u see from the stock SG mirrors or will need to add mirrors on the handlebar ?
will the 10" bars need the cables extended ?
I had to add mirrors to the handlebars. It's been awhile since install, but I think it was +2 on brake line and +4 on the clutch cable. The stock wiring worked.
The stock bars are 8", so change to these will just change the looks, not the height.
I'm not sure if the stocks are 8" or not, this is a comparison if Yaffy monkey 8s. There a couple inches taller and my hands are just under the faring.
Mini Chimps are 8" and under
Reg Chimps are 9" to 13"
Apes are 14" and over......
Crap, guess I am just a regular chimp (or chump) .Currently have 13" Reaper bars going on. I will try them and see how I like them. As I use Magnum Shielding cables, bars are not even half the cost of height change. Went from 12" KST to the Reaper in 13" hoping not to have to change cables as they are only a couple years old. Besides, there is a huge difference in the design of these bars and my hands would get numb with the KST Mayhem bars. The Reaper bars are much closer together end to end.
