I went with Memphis Shades Batwing on my 2003 RKC.
Already had music from the Boom Handlebar speakers and was just looking for something different , i.e. looks and also scored a set of lowers with aftermarket vents from the 'net as well.
Bought it all used off of the 'net and a buddy painted them to match my '03 Sterling Silver Anni. paint. But that's a whole other story.
I've got less than 550 invested in the batwing and lowers and paint.
Wifey rides that RKC now and although she is not impressed with the looks she likes the extra protection from the elements on cooler days. But within about 15 minutes I can have it stripped back to a quicktach windshield for nicer weather.
Got to ask.....where's the left coast of Florida.....coming down Ft Myers way next week to keep warm.....LOL
I'm about 40 mile north of Tampa along the Gulf. Good you're coming next week - Florida is feeling the freeze!!! We are to be in the 20's tonight, under a hard freeze warning, and a high only in the mid-40's tomorrow. By the weekend, close to the 80's!!! Enjoy your time in south Florida.
It's been a few years so I'm not sure if he is still around but I used a Woody's fairing. Reasonably priced and, at the time, I dealt with the owner. He used to have a website.
I have a Wide Open Customs Fairing on my 03 RK and love it. I have no buffeting issues and my hands stay much warmer in the cold. I added a 300 amp to the stereo and all is good.
Guess I went to the extreme. Instead of adding a fairing to my Road King. I added a Ultra Classic to my Garage. Now my son rides the Road King when not on his Sporty.
