Another consideration HAP that trike isn't the easiest thing in the world to Drive because thats what your doing driving the bike,It will go around curves as fast as two wheels but your using a helluva lot more muscle to do it,mileage kinda sucks when your used to 45 to 48 and drop to 32 to 35,but hey everytime you stop your gonna draw a crowd. I know by the time you read this you'll have that big new harley owner smile on your face.. Enjoy

Guess I'm rarity here or just maybe my parents taught me well.
I consider my bike a play toy even though I use it for no less than 50% of my travels.
Like all of my play toys I have saved my money and even worked on the side so I can always pay cash. I just don't believe in borrowing though I did borrow a little to buy my house. I owe no one anything and only make 40K a year.
Bills are paid and food on the table first and formost. I don't live in a trailer but a nice 1500 sq. ft. home on 4 acres and an 05 Duramax with a whopping 73K on it to haul my toys around. It can be done you just have to have a little common sense and tell the old lady and kids they cant have the latest and greatest every month when something new comes out.
Some of us actually make our kids earn the stuff they want instead of pa and ma dishing it over. Also makes them appreciate what they have and take care of it.

I bought my street glide because I wanted a bike that would be comfortable running between Dallas and fort worth every day, id rather pay a little extra for a machine that can meet all my needs, instead of buying another cheap cruiser that never quite fit my needs. I plan to ride this street glide till the engine dies, then put a bigger one in and keep going.

Main thing is not that you borrow, but that you live within your means. I don't buy a cup of coffee at McDonalds without charging it. It gets paid every month. I bought my house on credit. Paid it every month. Its paid for. Bought all my cars and rk new on credit. Paid every month until they were paid. My kids pretty much learned the hard way that credit cards are a necessary evil these days and should be used with as much disgression as possible. Not my problem. They have learned and NOW understand. I do pretty well and help them when I feel it's appropriate. Paying off credit card debt ain't one of those times.

The crappy thing about borrowing money is that 25k bike is now 30k by the time its paid off, just not for me. I also like to pay everything with a credit card. Mine is a 5% cash back rewards, make way more money off that then what a stinking savings or checking account ever though of!

In all seriousness, you can buy a new red vet for 15-20K more..and that screams USA . You can ride in the rain, and it does not handle like a 10 ton dump truck..but it sure looks like no talking you out of it.. have fun..you will love it.

How bad do you want it? When I want it, I want it now. Not after I save for 3 or 4 years. Not that much interest with my current credit rating but it will cost you to get it now. There is a cost to be paid for that...I get air miles with my card. Two coach tickets each year. Rome was nice last spring :-)

not necessarily, I financed my bike it is a simple interest loan so I made extra payments right up front and am paying basically no interest at all, and as long as I never skip a payment in the end I will have paid very little interest at all.
