First of all, I thank you all for taking the time to reply. I really learned a lot why people ride what they ride. I failed to mention that I am looking for a touring bike strictly for long haul like 300+ miles. Anything less than 300 miles, I have Fat Bob (FXDF) that I ride. I live in Northern CA and I am in the stage where I like to go up North like Canada and down South like Mexico and go Sturgis if I can.
I am going to ride them both this weekend and let you guys know what I think and which I like.
I like the old school nostalgic look with todays technology, dont care much for stereo blasting, my pipes are my music, (invest in a high end home sound system). Dont care for the extra weight on the front end (bulky fairing) bad handling. Last prefer the open view with little obstructions as possible allowing full enjoyment of the open road. So its a no brainer choosing the Road King. B Bop

Then you need to wait for the 2015 Road Glide or find a used one...

I'll reiterate,go with an Ultra RG or Bat. You will rack up the miles, and will never look back.

Love fat bobs! Keep it and forget the Roadking. I would look very seriously at Roadglide, even wait for '15s. Wish I could of found a cheap roadglide when I got Batwing...
Road Kings are great bikes, but for your intended use, get an Ultra. Far better wind and weather protection with a Batwing, and more storage with a Tour Pak. Yeah, yeah, Street Glides look cooler, but it'll cost you less to make your Ultra look like a Street Glide than it'll take to make your Street Glide perform like an Ultra.

But then your stuck with out-of-style tires, wheels, chrome, fenders, lights, etc. Either way is a good choice, just comes down to personal preference.
