Yeah, but you've also got a better bike for touring.

Except you're wrong, suspension has more travel smoother ride on the RK or EG

Get an Ultra with a removable tour pack

True, unless you want a detachable chopped vs. attached King size, etc.

$120 for the older 13" air shocks is simple. Or if you're debating the 12" shocks vs. the now standard on the SGS adjustables?

Cheaper to make a Tour Pak detachable than to buy a Tour Pak. And we're talking about touring, not posing. King Tour Paks only need apply.

LOL, we only tour with young, hip folk, King Tour Paks are for geezers.

Our overnighters are with a Harley bag and my buddy and his wife with a Chopped pack and maybe a bag on top (which still looks better than a King Tour).

Anyway, you're biased, the CVO Ultra is far cooler than a standard Ultra.

Yup, I'm old enough to appreciate sealed, waterproof, lockable storage. When you're older you'll learn too.

What do you guys (touring people) think?
Looks like I am going for 2014 Street Glide Special in Mysterious Red and not the Road King.
For those who owns a Street Glide, can you tell what don't you like about it or what's the bad thing about this model. I don't need to know the good thing or the good stuff like GPS and all that because dealers only tells you the good part.

TIA

I do most of my riding on the highway, that's why I purchased the SGS. I like the instrument cluster and wind protection. I installed a set of JRI rear shocks. SGS suspense didn't fit my needs even with HD's Premium shocks that came with the bike.
