I have used Bugslide for the last two years with over 12,000 miles on the windshields. It works well and leaves a coating, My windshields are not hazy with scratches but I am not sure if the Bugslide has anything to do with that. I am happy with the product but do not think it is a "miracle" product. I reccomend it to people but if I find something better I would use that instead.
At this point though I plan to continue using it.
If you like bug slide, you'll LOVE Richards Best. It's kinda pricey as well. Bout 30.00 for a quart spray bottle. Spray it into a micro fiber and rub the bike down. when it hazes over, buff it with a clean cloth.Cleans the chrome, paint, and the windshield. I've got some bug slide but I'm trying to find someone locally that sells the richards best. earl smalls in cartersville used to keep it but have stopped stocking it.. The websitewants about 7 or 8 dollars just to ship a quart, i think that's just too much.

The HD dealer here in Tampa sells the Bugslide. I use it, and it works as advertised. Pricey though...
another intrest in the hydrogen peroxide... diluted or straight? whats it do to the painted stuff as in over spray?
The stuff from the drug store is only 1 percent. I tried it straight from the bottle it worked OK. I also have heard about putting a little hair conditioner in with it also. I've never seen it damage paint either.
How do you feel about $.50 for a 16 oz. bottle? Try hrydrogen peroxide. I keep it in a spray bottle and hit the windshieldwith itmaybe once a day in riding season. Ittakes the bugs right off. No I'm not the dealer!
+1 on the Hydrogen Peroxide. I follow up with Pledge. (Don't know why the bad comments about Pledge, guess some like to spend thier money on more expensive products) Pledge is a great product to detail your bike with.
I ordered some Bugslide because of this thread. Bought a small bottle just to see. Tried it out last weekend. Don't think I'll reorder any. Nothing miracle about it. Pledge is a lot cheaper and does just as well.
I bought some my self and used it. It works real well even on windshields. Chrome looks like a mirror. I will buy it again and will tell others to try it as i did. I am very happy with the way it helps remove bugs from everything spray it and let it sit for a few minutes and wipe away, you dont even have to wash the bike when done. A-1 product...
I probably have a partial bottle of just about every cleaner I could find, from S100 to Pig Snot, Bike Brite, etc. The one that is always in the saddle bag is Bug Slide. Are there better products out there? Yes maybe, but in a pinch the Bug Slide does an excellent job. In my opinion it does a much better job than Pledge.
Yes, its expensive compared to some others. I like Pig Snot when I do a coat of wax, and sometimes will use Turtle Wax Ice synthetic, but in between, the Bug Slide is hard to beat.
