If you can, go new - 2014! Nothing quite like a new bike smell?

I did buy my RK new in 2013 and love it. Having said that if I had to do it over I might look for a good late model used bike with a stage 1 mod and other accessories already on the bike. Like they say, when you buy a new Harley the price is only a down payment on the mods and the accessories you put on it.

I agree with Jeff. For the price diff, the 2014 might make more sense. Better 103, std cruise, better bags, you can opt for the ABS/linked brakes, etc., and it's a new bike

If money is no object, I've heard nothing but good things about the '14s. If you want to go used, and can afford to do so, I would stay '09 or newer for the new (and vastly improved) frame, and '11 or newer on an RKC or '12 or newer on an RK to get the 103" motor.
