Adjustable backrest install....got a question
The big brown truck brought my new adjustable backrest courtesy of Navy UC Rider (Thanks Cale!!). Got the base mounted, but I cannot figure out where to mount the adjuster bracket.
Can someone post a pic of theirs mounted?? Harley calls it an actuator in the instructions.
don't have a picture of it but there is a notch on the frame on the left side behind the engine. The instructions are pretty clear. I'd post post a pic of mine but I have heat deflectors on and it would look different.
If you talking about the lever that you pull to make the back rest move. It goes under the left heat shield under the seat. Look under and you will see a small hole in the frame cross support bracket. Slip the lil bolt tab over that and the latch bracket attaches there. The latch will be parallel to the heat shield. Then you reach under behind the heat shield to activate the latch. Best I could describe if that's even what your talking about. Storming outside now so you not getting a picture.
I know I type slow with my one finger method ol craigff beat me to it
