Poly-fil quilt batting

For those of you who are using it in your audio systems, how are you using it and what does it help to do ?

It tricks the speaker into thinking it has more airspace by slowing the sound wave down, producing better mid and low bass response.

If you use too much, it will choke the sound wave and make it worse. You have to find the happy medium.

Cut it in a circular piece, then cut a wedge out of the circle. Kind of makes it cone shaped.

Cut into 12x12 pieces and wrap 2 or 3 pieces (depending on thickness of batting) around each speaker. The fairing will hold it in place. Some guys tape or zip tie it.

There a couple good threads on it over in the audio section. Made a nice difference on my setup! It isn't rocket science, just open up an old pillow and stuff some in there.
