Ok gents, I know LePera makes some good looking touring seats but are they built for my eyes or my ***? I've read a lot of treads and really I'm still unsure if the maverick is a great seat or just an attractive option because it looks better than most other long haul seats? I'm trying to decide between the lepera maverick with the backrest (possibly the daddy long legs) or a mustang super touring solo with backrest and a 11.5 or 13" passenger seat. Most people rave about mustang touring seats comfort factor. Any thoughts would be great.
I can't give you an opinion on the Maverick as I've never had one. I did have the LePera Sorrento seat and thought it was a very comfortable seat. Way better than the Mustang seats I have owned over the years. My buddy rides his RG with the DLL Maverick and both he and his wife love the comfort. It's a good looking seat and he has been very pleased with it over the last year or so. There are some post about the Maverick over on the roadglide. org website if you want to check it out..

I have the LePera Continental. LePera is a firm seat. I find that comfortable. Some may not.
I currently have a Maverick Daddy Long Legs on a Softail. It's very comfortable and good for 300+ mile days. I have had the Le Pera Silhouette and Bare Bones on my Softails and would never call them "comfortable". However, they look great. SJ Ron
Mustangs are soft and mushy, Lapera's are firm. I have the Maverick 2 up daddy long legs. I like the back support even without a drivers backrest. I have had no issues with comfort with it but if you are looking for super soft get something else like the mustang.
A friend rode my bike and his first comment was that the seat was really hard. I'll ride my bike anywhere with this seat no matter the distance but firm is not for everyone.
Mushy=butt or leg falling asleep. Firm can take a bit to get used to but I think it's better long term. Also, you can toss a gel pad on the firm seat if you need to. With a soft seat nothing much helps.
