I wondered about a tire being scalloped. I was thinking the front tire, since I can feel it more in the bars than the seat or floorboards. I'll take a good look at both of them.

It's not bad, in fact I don't notice it most of the time, just hear/feel it as a background thing if looking for it.

Wondered with it being on the kickstand side. Since the bike leans that way while on the stand, if that might be a contributor somehow?

Anyway, at the next service, will pull the wheels and check the bearings and the alignment. Tires still have a lot of life in them, so if that doesn't fix it and it doesn't get worse, I may just live with it till time to replace them!

Thanks for the help and ideas!

When I changed out the first front tire I was hoping it would go away, but it didn't. Then I made sure to inspect the bearings and re-grease them and that didn't cure it. And as to the back tire, I'm on my about the third one, and since using Metzlers I've had a much better ride.

I almost think it's just part of the personality but odds are it's alignment on mine. I'll have to take some measurements if it ever warms up.

Most likely a cupped tire. For some reason the new frame bikes cup more.
