Jest curious what yall are using these days for sunglasses and clear glasses for night riding. I've got a pai of sunglasses that jest let to much wind in on the sides and would like to find some glasses both sunglasses and clear that kind of wrap around the sides and offer a bit more protection.
Check the General Chat forums. I believe there was a lengthy discussion on that entitled "Glasses vs. Goggles" or something similar. Probably exactly what you might be looking for.
I use clear safety glasses. You can buy them anywhere, they are cheap, they wrap around your head some and they have adjustable ear pieces (they go forwards and back).
The only thing that I would warn you about them is if they get scratched. When they get scratched, headlights kind of "spray" and the oncoming lights can actually be more blinding - like a nicked up windshield.
Since my eyes are getting worse each year from driving 3rd shift for work, I have prescription sun glasses for day and my regular glasses for night. Before that I didn't really care what I wore as long as it wasn't goggles or the glasses with the foam junk around the frames.
I got a pair of Panoptyx Diablos. They are a day night lens. They get dark in bright light and light in the dark. They come with removable lens cups that will keep dust dirt and water out of your eyes when they are in place and can be popped out for those times that you don't need/want them. They are expensive in the neighborhood of $200.00 but well worth it. I was able to get a pair off of ebay for about $150.00. There are some complaints I have heard about them fogging up and that does happen when you get wet. Thing is that so does anything else I have when I get wet so it is not much of an argument with me. I highly recommend them.
For what you specifically asked for in glasses, also consider going to a welding products or industrial supply store and see what they have on the counter racks. The protection of that stuff and side &top fits are great for riding. In sunglass and clear lenses.
The name brand makers might suit you, but often muchmomoney.
I have a great set-up I bought used on e-bay. They have a soft lining on the perimeter. 3 different lenses including clear. They also can be converted in a couple of seconds to a strap/goggle set up. They work great butI don't remember the name. I think they are 100-125 new, I paid about 60 on e-bay. PM me if you want the brand, I'll find out!
