Well I ended up with a set and I see in the instruction that the will not work on a FLHTK. What would the reason be. :-( The heated grips is the only thing that I see that's the deference on the bikes listed on the spec. sheet.
Thanks for input.

OK Here is what I ended up doing ! Went to the dealer today which is a 2 hour drive one way and asked about the mini apes and heated grips. The parts mgr said it can be done you just need to extend the wires for the heated grips. The HD grips just don't come from the factory with the longer wires for other then stock bars so that's why they are listed will not fit/work. I also checked out two bikes one with the mini apes and then the tall boy bars (basically a 10" bar) I liked the tall boy bars and the dealer is installing at a really great price so they will be on the bike when I get it out of storage. The fit with the tall boy seat and bars just worked for me !

Thanks KUB. That is all I could think of. I have most everything tore down and I was coming to the same conclusion.
Thanks to all for the input.

Glad you got it set up the way you wanted. Spring is getting closer, so soon you'll be able to put it to the test!
