RK Windshield Clip

The spring clips (if thats what they're called) dont seem to stay in the down/locked position on my bike. Do they require an adjustment? Is this normal?

I have several different ones and all the spring things are in a different position. I am guessing they are there so the shield does not blow off? Sort of a safety catch maybe.
I suppose you could take them off and bend them to make solid contact if it bothers you.
Also if you have a funny buzzing sound someday look at those springy thingies.

The clips can be adjusted or even bent if you like. I have seen their positions all over the place on different bikes. one of mine is down tight, the other is up a little. I just ordered the Brukus kits to keep someone from walkiing off with my shield,bags and seat.

My wife's new 2014 CVO Softail Deluxe doesn't even have those spring clips. Her 2006 did. Not sure why the new bike didn't have them unless HD figured they were not needed??
