Got the Mustang Tripper Fastback seat for my street glide but having a hard time rubbing out the marks left from the stock seat on my tank. Is there a cleaner or something anyone has used? Thanks
SG models without crashbars should have rubber bumpers ( 2010+ ?) on the frame at the rear crashbar mount location to keep the seat from damaging the paint on the fender, some seat pans also have plastic ribs which can scuff the fender.
on my 09 FLHTC, even with crashbars, I have rubber bumpers on the frame rails and have trimmed the under side of the seat pan on a few of my seats ( I swap seats often).
anyone considering a new seat should pull the old one first to see what they'll be dealing with.
it is possible to polish out scuffs. ( meguiar's make a line of products)
i would leave this to a pro unless the owner is experienced with this
