Default HD Adjustable backrest

Anyone using one of these? Is it worth the extra cash? I already have a backrest installed on my FLHXS, but just wondering if this would make any kind of big difference on long trips.

I have one on mine with the HD Road Zepplin seat. When I made my run to Oxford, AL and then up the East Coast, I put one on. I have since to take it off. I forgot what its like to ride without a backrest. I think its worth it. It is nice to be able to adjust it, but its like a car seat, once you find the spot you like it, your not going to be moving it alot. Mostly readjusting when you have to take the seat off and in order to do that, you have to remove the backrest so then you have to re adjust the backrest position. I cant lie to you though, the install is a little of a PITA. The directions HD gives are rediclous. Also a little pricey, but what isnt with HD. HD=Hunderd Dollar.

I have one and have adjusted all the way back. Have never moved it since. I dont even have to move it when removing the seat. Just pull the rest out and leave the mount in place.

I love mine. On long runs or when you start getting stiff, just reach over hit the lever and re-adjust the angle. With a new angle it gives you different position. You would think just a lil different angle can not make a difference but it is a big difference when your getting sore. Besides adjusting for angle/forward-back it also adjust for vertical slightly, maybe 2 - 2.5 inches.

Just did 2,989 miles in 8 days for Daytona bike week. Adjusted mine several times during the trip. Adjust the back rest all the way forward to aid in backing up the bike. This is especially good for short legged riders.

On my Ultra I love it. Just like everyone is saying. Get a little tired hit the switch and move it to a new position. I'll even adjust the up/down on long trips. The only time I ride without is when I have a passenger worth leaning ON.

I love mine since I cut down the bracket and it sits flush with my seat now. I only wish that pull botton to raise and lower the seat was almost flush instead of sticking out as far as it does.

I removed the section with the holes that is welded to the long bracket, cut an inch off the top of the long bracket and welded the section with the holes back on. Power coated the bracket black.

The fully adjustable Riders Back Rest was probably the best money I have spent on my bike period! I would not have another one with out it.
