This is my first post so forgive me if I'm not following the rules here. I'm getting ready to install TW-555 cams on my 2012 Streetglide 103". I need to know EXACTLY what I will need for this installation. I dont plan on doing it myself and will take it to a dealer. I was planning on using the self adjusting push rods as to avoid more labor. The bike has about 13000mi on it. Please help! Is there a kit I could buy with everything included? Do I have to buy everything separate?

You will need in addition to allen, socket and combination wrenches. A good torque wrench, I used both inch lb and foot lb types, assembly lube, cam bearing puller and installation tool. As well as a gasket set. Also needed are a bolt cutter, lge paper clips and rubber bands( to hold the push rod tubes up when cutting the pushrods), and whatever device you decide to use to hold the lifters up and out of the way unless you are replacing them too. Most important, have a service manual handy!

I was thinking of having them installed by the dealer and not myself. Im not comfortable doing this on my own...... I dont think. I want to just have everything i need when I take it in. Fuel moto has a kit but it looks like it comes with the gaskets to take of the rockers for the "long way" where as I want to cut the pushrods with bolt cutters, therefor saving hours of labor costs.
Start with a service manual..Fuel Moto sells install kits with everything you need.

What he said. Might also suggest watching the video on S&S web site or videos on You Tube. Very informative. You will need a jack to get the rear wheel off the floor. Triple check everything. Timing marks, O rings, oil pump alignment and right bolts in right holes and torqued and lock tite where indicated. The pushrod adjustments can be confusing. Make sure the cylinder you are adjusting is not on split overlap which is both valves open slightly. The lifters should be all the way down. All this is explained in the videos. Need bolt cutters to get old pushrods out. The FM pushrods come with locktite and don't forget to use it.
which ever pushrod you get needs to be tapered if using the .555 lift. I think the quickie is. The FM pushrods use the stock pushrod tubes and are a little more difficult for me to install. The Screaming Eagles come with new tubes and give you much better clearance. After you use the FM once it is not an issue anymore. Some dealerships refuse to use the FM pushrods. They don't read the instructions is the problem I have seen twice. Since you don't already know how to do them you will read the instructions. If not good luck.

I would be make sure the dealer will use any parts you bring them. Many shops do not install customer provided parts. Do replace the inner cam bearings with Thorringtontype bearings, SE ones are good. The SE tapered adjustable pushrods are good too. Replacing the weak stock lifters is added insurance but lifters are pretty easy to replace once ya have adjustable pushrods. I would recommend .030 head gaskets with 555s but extra work. Andrews 57 cams are a good choice without headgaskets. Good luck.
