I have difficulty believing the dimples in the rim can cause this as the beads are running on the outer part of the tire and not next to the rim. I do have the same problem at 70 it starts vibrating. I am going to get mine taken out and balanced. Going to change brake pads and that would be good time. I too am curious about the gel stuff.
I heard of beads but what is this gel people keep talking about?
Ride On, google it, I'm using it. I think it works great! Never heard any complains about it. Unlike dyna beads, I see a lot of people not happy with them here and in person. JMO

charlie im not sure..I really just dont think they work at higher speeds. If i keep her below 70 i would have no complaints, i loved having no weights on my chrome wheels, but i ride over 70 alot (commute on i95 to work here in the northeast) and it was unbearable. Ive talked to many people, i have no scientific data to back it up, but i just dont think they work well at higher speeds.
I can tell you I use Ride on Sealant in my 06 FJR and have had been over 140mph with it and it was still smooth as glass. The stuff works

You make a logical point to counter my illogical theory. So...now my theory is that the beads just didn't work on my (and others) front wheel. Balanced well with weights now. Will switch to the Ride On at some point in the future.
I am very interested in this subject. I have been using dyna beads and haven't had any problem with them.
I stayed away from the gel because I ride all year long and have heard that at lower temperatures the gel would get too thick to work. Is there anyone out there that uses it and rides in sub 30* temperatures?
I don't believe the rim will effect the dyna beads. Centrifugal force will have them well away from the rim at 70MPH.
So if I wanna try this gel, get my tire mounted (Just removed old rear rim & tire to get a new one mounted) and tell them not to balance it? Add gel be happy?
