It ended up being one of my pairs of 501's. Something was cut different with them that when riding pulled down and put pressure on the tailbone. I phased them out with no problem since.
I was thinking the same it almost feels like the belt loop sewing slides down and rubs right on my tail bone, think I'll give that a try I already did 2 seat changes little better but still there.

Had this seat made after a back surgery on my dyna. 9" rise in seat for backrest. Tailbone area dished out as I could not sit more than 20 mins without extreme pain . Worked like a charm . It's a 1 off bmc wall seat . Dish out the tail bone area .

I recommend Lucky Dave’s seats. Best I’ve had. (Stock, Mustang, RSD, Corbin). The shape of the seat, riding position, and gel layer, make this just perfect. For me anyway. Good luck.

I've had the same problem. I've come across two resolutions that work. Without modifying the seat; try using a sheepskin leather pad. Sometimes that's all it takes. OTOH If you are modifying or replacing the seat; let the folks who are building your seat know what the issue is. The manufacturer of the seat you choose doesn't matter so much as letting them know what you concern is. They can shape the foam to accommodate you. Over the years I've had two different (and both well known) seat manufacturers build me Butt-Pain proof seats.

You can always try sn Airhawk seat pad. Ive got one and its got me through 2 surgeries in the *** area. It is very subjective- everyones *** is different- so what works for one person may not work for another.

I just replace the stock seat on my 2019 CVO SG with a HD Hammock Seat. It's a dream for longer rides. I can still throw on the stock seat for shorter scoots around town, but why would I, the Hammock is soooooo comfortable.

As I've grown older and lost a lot of weight (in addition to being a white guy) I have less butt than ever before and I'm having a problem even sitting in our vehicles as I can feel too much pressure on my tailbone.
Vehicle, motorcycle or trike makes no difference, they're all uncomfortable!
My wife has bought me two cushions (one for the cars and one for my recliner) and they really help so I'm planning on having the seat on my '18 Tri-Glide reworked for the tailbone relief and possibly more/different padding added to the rider section as well as heat added to both the rider and passenger sections.
I have the heated seat and grips on my CVO Ultra and it's hard going back to a bike that doesn't have them.
I've also added the accessory jack to my Tri-Glide for my heated jacket and gloves to help keep me "toasty warm" in cooler weather.
