I will spend my hard earned money on things that I feel are worth spending money on. Really, it is my money and not yours so please don't worry about it. There are a lot more important things to consider and worry about in life than what may or may not classify a person's social role. With out the RUB, there would be no Harley-Davidson today!
C'mon now, lets not get carried away the true torchbearing support staff are ther greybeards who bought the beast that marked it's spot back in the 70's. A man had to be commited to the cause back in the day, Honda was crashing the market and the hardcore Harley market kept the faith. rub's didn't save Harley, they capitalized on it. The RUB got a bad name back in the early 90's when the MoCo made it's big comeback and didn't turn out bikes in huge numbers, 50,000 or so Big Twins and the sentiment was that wealthy 'bikers' were buying 'em up, adding a few chrome geehaws and marking 'em up, and reselling at huge profits. Not really a rider, but a wealthy 'profiler'. I stay away from making my business to judge a man, but I gotta admit, might have crossed a line when the fellas started adding the FAKE KICK STARTERS to their evos. Fake return spring and everything but again, to each his own.
