Over here (UK) have a guy who had worked on my 95". Had the Heads and inlet carb port flowed, Andrews TW26N Cams mild peak for all round use and 95" Barrels completed the work.
I have reading here on my report, Street port service consisting of 5 angle valve job on intake seats, 4 angles and a radius on exhaust seats, bowl blending, guide boss and short side radius work.
Exhaust ports straightened to remove casting limitations.
Inlet manifold reprofiled and matched to the inlet ports. Head machined to 83cc which gave a static comp ratio 9.6:1 and a corrected comp of 8.94:1 with the .030 Cometic head gasket.
Dyno'ed max torque 102.45 ft ilbs at the wheel.
So it pays to get it sorted professionally as it also allows to tailor it to suit your riding style and not have something that is better where you don't want it in the rev range.
Above all, I had the cams done because of the potential problems they can give alltough mine were good at 6700 miles could not live with the fact that you cannot see anything going wrong until too late.

You may want to rethink on boring your cylinders to 98". The walls will be very thin with no material for good cooling. I have a 2004 Road King and just finished with my S&S 97" build. The S&S cylinders have a heavy liner with larger and more cooling fins and they will outlast & outperform the MOCO jugs. The pistons that come with them in the kit have a special top to help with VC and CP. They are also forged and not cast as many aftermarket are. I had Bean at Bigboyz do my heads and fix them to run with the Andrews 54 cams that I had selected. They were set up cc'd, milled, port and polish with a .030 Cometic gasket for a 10:1 cp. I also run a set up PC111 from Fuel Moto. This is what works for me and I'm not telling anyone to do the same.

Fairshake.

After your modification did you feel a big difference? Did you get a good deal on the s&s 97 kit? Do you like the Andrew 54 cams?
