They make some decent products, I will always want the long arm cruise bars and the variety of pegs to choose from. I have been using those for almost five years.
I have their switch covers and used to use the ISO grips, until two sets broke within two years.
The throttle grip snapped clean in half inside where you can't see it. They made good on that pair, when the ball keeper for the cable broke I didn't want another pair no matter how free they were.
I put my sorry assed stock grips back on, they snap back better than Kury grips inside of Kury covers.
Go figure.
Buyer beware and careful when that throttle grip comes off in your hand while evading cagers!
I had the ISO grips. Comfortable, but made my hands smell like rubber. Then, during some maintenance I had to remove the throttle grip and it came apart in pieces. I do really like the Trigger brake and clutch levers. Some of their stuff is ok, others not so much.
I'm not knocking their quality or their customer service (Harley could learn some lessons from them). I just find almost everything is just so over the top design wise. Simply my observation...
Its Jap stuff. They love gaudy stuff. Thats a fact. And they dont invent anything. We do. They are great at reproducing and copying stuff. Americans and Germans invent almost everything. Thats a fact too. I dont have any Kury stuff. Just never had any desire to buy they're stuff. Plus. They charge for a catalog and thats just over the top. lol
I like to use their engine chrome kits. Did my last 4 bikes with it. Chrome held up great. Better than I can say for a lot of HD chrome I have on my bike.

There were a a butt load of inventions before 1776 - just sayin. And I get free catalogs,..... Maybe because I do not have any visible swastica tattoos.....
I say WOW. I think K makes some of the best stuff out there---1/2 the time, you can buy the exact same product from them that HD sells at a much lesser price. Sure--I don't like all the pieces--My buddies have alot of "covers" and stuff on their bikes that I don't like...but these same covers are sold by HD alot of times. I think they have top notch quality stuff! But no--I don't like all of their stuff...neither do I like all of HD stuff, but I'm surely not a guy who has to have HD stamped on every piece.
My opinion is that they stand behind their products.
If you have purchased one of their items and it fails due to what ever reason you can go to them at a rally and show them and they will 9-10 times replace it, no questions/receipts needed.
Try that w/HD products and see what happens.
You cannot even take back an item at your local HD w/out a receipt even though they have it in the computer that you bought it from them.
As far as "some of the most god-awful looking crap you've ever seen" well as they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
On the other hand you could very easily say that some of HD's crap should not have even been put on the bike it is that cheap. Why did they even bother?
There are only so many manufacturers in the world and HD and Kuryakyn much of the time buy from the same one.
They have the manufacturer change the package.
Nothin' wrong with after-market parts.
If you think OEM is where it's at, you've been drinkin' way too much of the Kool-Aid.
Some Kuryakyn is identical to HD's at a better price. Then there are pieces by HD I preffer over Kuryakyn. For me I've got a little of both on my bike. Anything to save a $!
some of the stuff they make i dont care for, i do have the forward controls on my dyna and the foot pegs but thats about it... i think it depends on your taste and style, and then how you put it all together
