The mileage comes on as well as the dash lights and gauges work. Grappling some fuses and relays after work. Hoping I can fix this.

Make sure the "key" is turned to ignition and not access. I've done that before...

You have a blown relay. You should have two relays in the fuse panel. Im not sitting in front of the bike that I had this occur on, or I would tell you exactly which one it is. Swap the two relays and the red light should go off and the bike will turn over but wont start, because both relays have to be good. Either way, pull one of the relays out and go get a new one, I paid about $7 for it at Checker Auto Parts. Then go home and put the new one in.

Did you ever figure out how to retrieve your codes? It will give you the message on the mileage display. The codes maybe inhibiting you from starting it.

Ok I feel like an idiot. It was an ignition fuse. The old fuse looked good. Thanks everyone for their hints and advice. Boy do I feel stupid but I would rather feel stupid than have it not work.

There...That's a lesson you won't soon forget.
Always remove a fuse from the circuit and test it electrically to be sure.
Glad you found the problem.

Now you try to figure out what caused it to blow!

Thanks getting a volt meter tonight. It didn't start so I switched the brake relay out with the start relay and then it started right up. I bought relays but Harley gave me the wrong ones.
