Yep, depends on the grip. The "Get A Grip" HD one's did not require any glue if I remember right. However, the instructions will tell you if needed or not. Some actually use hair spray for the adhesive if needed.

Yep... I just replaced the grips on my '14 SGS and no adhesive required. Oh there were HD grips as well.

If it's a Harley grip, No it won't freakin spin if you don't put glue on it. The newer bikes have a large tab on the left grip to fit into the slot on the switch housing. Never glued one never had to , glueing the grips is from way back when.... There may be some aftermarket grips that don't have that tab, in that case they usually come with their own adhesive.

for what it's worth i really like the grips.. nice not having tacky hands at end of day..
