Hand grip install Question

get popsicle from freezer. Eat one 1/2 of popsicle. Squeeze the brake lever and create a gap between lever and housing on the brake reservoir end. Slide the popsicle stick into that gap so the brake lever isn't allowed to fully close upon release. Proceed with loosening the switch clamshell etc and installing the grip. After grip install and everything is buttoned back up squeeze brake lever, pull popsicle stick and release lever. Finish other 1/2 of popsicle before it completely melts. Tackle the right side grip if not already complete. Wash popsicle down with tasty cold beverage.
It's possible to break the brake light switch in the housing if the lever isn't partially squeezed thus the need for this step. Some grip kits come with a spacer but a popsicle stick works fine.

the only product I'll ever buy from Kuryakyn is their ISO grips. I never use glue on the left grip because well.. my hand is never comfortable in one place for too long. So I leave it unglued to that I may roll it into the position that's comfortable for my hand at the time.

As for the Popsicle stick, a zip tie stuck in there does the job as well. Glad the grips went well, I noticed the '14s have a much healthier brake light nubby, not near as prone to break like the older ones had.
