Some may be getting less MPG because it is more fun to twist the throttle.
You can always turn Vied's down if you want to run it leaner for better economy.
I did not buy a 103 CC bike for "Fuel economy" Would have bought a Honda NCX700 if I wanted 60 MPG. Yes it IS fun to twist the throttle. Especially in 6th
I am worried I may be running too rich though, Without an Intake 50% is probably a better setting

Nightrider states on their website that you will lose about 6% in MPG with their products. It only makes since that if your running richer then 14.6:1 you will lose MPG. The EPA mandates 14.6:1 because that is the AFR that creates a complete burn of the gas. Going richer and you don't get a complete burn and some fuel gets blown out with the exhaust.
I have no real knowledge because I have not used them and have seen no dyno comparisons, but seems they can only operate in closed loop and adjust/fool the fuel ratio the fixed percent of the resistor. If that is all ya want then I guess they work???
Ive had them on my Ultra almost since day 1. They work, Ive played with the Vieds up to 75% and down to 25%. At 75% my bike seemed sluggish and I could smell fuel, at 25% the bike ran better, but had a bit of popping on decal. Ive left them set them just under 50% for over a year and all seems good. 2 points of note, I never really noticed and difference in Temp. and my fuel mileage never really changed from stock. I run 4 Rineharts, decatted head pipe, stock breather, no other engine mods. Hope this helps.
Now that I have FL-VIED-10 installed, is it pretty wide open as to what air filter/breather I can put on? I'm not a fan of the football a/f and would like a round filter with cover or similar set up.
