Default Headlight connector stuck

Yesterday was the tourpack lock (another thread) and today I went to take the fairing off and the headlight plug wouldn't come off. So I unscrewed the wire bulb holder thing and was able to get the fairing off. So, I realized it was the connector with the white wire that was stuck. It ended up pulling the connector off of the back of the bulb with the me portion stuck in the terminal. I pulled the spade out of the plug and took the "flag terminal" out of the housing and everything looked normal. No burn marks or anything. I was going to hook up the garage door opener from my other bike, but thought I would see if I could find out what caused this to be stuck.

I hope I made sense.
Thanks!

Very simple all you gotta do is squeeze that plug on the sides and it will come off easily. No that's not explained anywhere but the first time you do it and it works you will say "boy was that easy!!"

Yup they were squeezed to the max. I've already had the fairing off a bunch and this was the first time it happened.

Put some dielectric grease on it when you reassemble

Put some on

Didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Didn't hook up the garage opener. So we will see what happens!

look for any signs of heat distress to the plug/wiring.

if so, replace with hi-temp unit from auto parts store $15
