I have the Wards fans on my bike. I notice a bit of heat on my right leg but not much. I also have the mid frame heat deflectors. This helps with rider comfort. I feel much better knowing the engine is getting cooled during stop and go traffic.
After just a few rides I can tell the Wards fans are going to make a huge difference in keeping the bike cool and I won't have any more fears of being caught with no air moving. It drops the head temps dramatically.
I have Jason's fans and a Jaggs oil cooler. I really can't say I feel much air movement on the right side but there is a LOT on the left. I think the fans blowing directly on the heads doesn't blow through like the single fan setups.
I now have put over 36K miles on my bike using the LeNale Cooling fan and let me tell you that it really works great. We rode for two days to Sturgis in pouring rain and the LeNale Fan ran without a flaw. One of my friend installed Wards Parks Werks Fans on his Deluxe Softail and after 5K miles the extra weight and harmonic vibration from the fans being so far off center caused the rubber mounting bracket to fail. This was the same problem I had when I purchased the Love Jugs twin fans and almost caused an accident when the fans fell off at 60 MPH.
Here is a good news story. We went to the Colonial Beach Bike fest last weekend that was hosted by All American Harley Davidson and ran into LeNale Engineering who had a booth set up at the All American Harley tent. My friend that was with me told the LeNale owner (Len) about his problem with the twin fan he purchased and Len gave him a free fan and had it installed right on the spot by All American Harley. When we asked him about other products, all he said was that he was in business for 10 years and the test of time weeds out products that don't work.
I had a Lenale on my Heritage, it worked very good. I read great things about the Wards also. I have a custom Dynamics air horn on my bike now(2009 Street Glide) and obviously the Lenale won't work, will the wards work with this type of horn?
