Default speedometer question

New to the site have had my 02 FLTRI for about 5 years. My question is I adjusted the head bearing this weekend and when everything went back together my trip switch won't work and the bike will idle if it is standing still but not at throttle roll off when riding. Have replaced speed sensor same problem, how many pins are in the speedometer. I have 9 pins in the speedo and 10 wires in the 12 socket connector thinkin I may have broken a pin ?
