Well my HD dealer tells me the motor's basically wiped out (pistons, jugs, crank, etc) in my 2012 SG. Since they can't find anything wrong it's my fault, apparently being a fanatic about maintenance isn't good enough for them and the ESP won't cover it. That being said I'm considering just getting FM to do a 117 upgrade. Any thought or suggestions?
I say if you can afford the FM 117 go for it but I think it's BS that your motor is fried and the ESP won't cover it. What do you mean they can't find anything wrong?
i just had the 110 crap out in my 12 CVO. ESP gave me the $$'s to fix and i used it to go 120R instead. If its your dime, get what you want, but if you are rebuilding your stock motor after it crapped out, make certain your shop goes through everything, i ended up replacing oil pan, & oil cooler due to debris from internal destruction. Flushing them did not yield great results.

Yea doesn't sound right to me if they can't find anything wrong with it then it's not fried. They should have to prove that you did something wrong to not cover it.
Yea not real happy, they said they can't find any metal in the oil or anything broke internally so therefore it must be lack of maintenance. I guess I've been ridin it with a rap and oil comin out the exhaust ports. They're gonna pull the pan off this week guess I'll get my final answer then.

It was fine, I got it out changed all the fluids (Red line in all the holes) took it for a little spin for coffee got about 2 miles from home and the oil pressure started dropping, went down to about 10lbs, just as I got home started tapping in the top end. I had a reusable oil filter on it so I pulled it and all three magnets were loaded with metal, real fine almost like the texture of mud
