Default HD Premium shocks - any reason they won't fit on an 06?

Catalog states 09 and up. Many other mfgs fit 97 to present. Anybody try these on the old frame?

The only thing I can think of that might cause an issue is the adjuster **** on the left shock.

physically, i think they'll fit. the problem that i've heard referenced (can't swear to the validity) is that the older bikes have a less rigid swingarm. because the shocks are separate, one for damping, one for rebound, they really need the stiffness of the newer swingarm to keep things from 'jiggling' a bit.....

What he said.

They need the stiffness of the newer frame/swingarm.

That's what I found researching them too. I had one of the stock air shocks leaking fluid and needed to upgrade. I went with the Progressive 444 shocks and very happy with them.

All our bikes will benefit from a stiffer swingarm! I don't think the adjuster **** will be a problem, as the bags used are unchanged since the mid-90s, up until the 2014 bikes. Even if I had a recent bike I would prefer to fit a traditional set of conventional up-market shocks. We have HDF sponsors who can supply!

If you are referring to the "Premium" shock that also comes stock on the Fat Bob, yes it will fit. I run them on my 2008 and my father has them on his 2005. Find a used set off of a Fat Bob in the classifieds or eBay, $70 is the normal going price.
