35 solo and 38 2 up for me. I'm 240 and the wife is 118. DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR!!! Just a warning. Get a pump and vary the pressure by 5lb increments. When you get close fine tune it to your weight and style of riding

I usually go 1lb per 10lbs of person/luggage.

I weigh about 190 so I set the shocks at 19-20. When I put the tourpack on and the wife then I add poundage accordingly.

Easy math for me and is usually pretty close.

Unfortunately the Harley shocks are of the lowest budget crap you can get, Honda's have better shocks on them, I put the Ohlins HD 159 on mine...I could never find a happy setting on the stockers..

I weigh 180-185. I run maybe 5psi solo. It has taken a lot of experimentaion, but with a 200 pound wife on the back, I need about 35 in the shocks.

I have a 12 SG and run 5-10 for. I'm 210, if I have a passenger 10-15 is enough, I don't take heavy weights for rides.

For me it is 20psi solo or 2 up. I hate to mess with taking the saddlebag off to change it!!!

I don't have to take my saddle bag off. I do open the lid but I keep my pump in the left bag anyway so it's already open. Just screw it on and adjust

Just be aware that the air shocks were changed after 2008. The new ones take more pressure. Also, never use a powered air pump like at a gas station, you could blow the seals. Finally, the shocks take very little air volume. If you put some air in them and then try to check the pressure with a tire gauge, you'll lose almost all your pressure. Get a lossless air pump, either from Harley or some other source.

You still need to check the shocks from time to time since they do bled out a little air like any compressed air retention system will with use.
