para- when i installed my kit, i flipped the rear shield. by flipping it- youll get rid of the mid-pipe cut off. itll look like this--> II instead of yours--> ]I
Yeah I tried it that way the first time but it did not cover the clamp on the muffler and I debated for a LONG time which way to put it on...for now I thought this looked the best. I will be getting different chrome in the near future.
I have also heard of others buying the gap shield for the front pipe. It is suppose to move the long shield back some. That may be a solution for not seeing the clamp after using the shield off the left side and flipping it over. Just a thought.
I think I will go with the black pipe version. And as far as the heat shields go, I will figure that out when I am in a position to buy the exhaust. Thanks for the tips. I, personally, love hearing all the advice. Thanks to all.
I know you will be happy with it. I know i am! I just cant believe what a difference it has made. It actually feels like I am riding a Harley now instead of some castrated metric.
I installed the FullSac conversion last week and was intrigued by your post. My order from J&P came in today. I ordered the 12" section as you mentioned #442-074. It is has a smaller radius compared to my stock heat shields and will not fit over the second section as you describe in your post. I have a 2006 FLHX with stock exhaust and screamin eagle muffs. Any suggestions?
