I installed the FullSac conversion last week and was intrigued by your post. My order from J&P came in today. I ordered the 12" section as you mentioned #442-074. It is has a smaller radius compared to my stock heat shields and will not fit over the second section as you describe in your post. I have a 2006 FLHX with stock exhaust and screamin eagle muffs. Any suggestions?
It will stretch over the first section of heat shield. You do have to cut off some of the curved part on the rear of the front shield. Then place on your rear section and snug it down. I wouldn't think your shields are any different than mine.

That "UGLYNESS" is the only thing stopping me from installing my Fullsac.
That's what kept me away from the Fullsac kit. For once I excercised some patience, found a new set of Vance & Hines Dresser Duals in the classifieds for $230-shipped with new gaskets from a forum member.

Add up the cost of the Fullsac kit and all the additional heat shields and you're not far off from the cost of the Dresser Duals or the Rinehart Cross Dressers and you end up with a nice one piece heat shield on both sides.

I bought the kury bidge the gap. I put the cut out end of the front shield to the kury part. The cut out still shows, but the kury part is all chrome, so it doesn't look bad. I put the rear shield in the stock position and let the back end of the front shieldoverlap. It covers the cut out for the crossover and looks fairly seemless.

I am new to scooter wrenching and didn't know what to do after seeing the J&P heat sheild. Got to say, "It worked" Great sound, performanceand good looks for under $250. V&H is deffinitly better, but cheap with the good results will get you by every time. Thank You FullSac and FLHT!

What they need is a 24 inch one piece heatshield. that would match up with the
extended perfectly! Anyone make one out there?
