Somebody has to be out there rescuing these neglected bikes. I got started in bikes more with building and re-appropriating than going with shiny and new. I'm not a shiny and new kind of person. I'm the kind of paint it flat black and ride the **** out of it than make it shine and pull it on a trailer.
You're right! Very nice and it's the rare 2WD mudder edition! Sounds like it's going to be OK internally with the oil fairly clean and the gas not rancid...that's a good sign!
Get it running well and write or carve "I bought it this way" or "let this be a lesson to you" on the air cleaner or some other damaged part..... Looking forward to seeing your progress!
