Clutch cable rub
I've just noticed that the clutch cable on my RKC has been rubbing against the front engine guard bars, causing scratches in the chrome.
It's not dramatic at this stage but has anyone else noticed this or is it that my cable has been routed incorrectly.
I've looked at how the cable could be moved to prevent contact with the top of the bar but that would put the cable on the other side of the front down tubes of the frame, bringing it close to the front cylinder.
My other idea is to make a soft leather guard, to wrap around the bar and protect the contact point. I would probably have to make two, one for the right side, just to even it up so it doesn't look odd.
Is there anything on the market like this or does anyone have any ideas.
I've put a strip of clear tape on the bar, to protect it at the moment while I make a decision on what to do.
The bikes only done 11000 miles and I don't want the chrome rubbing off leaving the nickel base showing
The cable rubs at the back of the bar, you can probably see it on the picture.
Any advice

whatever you do, do not restrict the natural movement of the cable with the bars.
we have had a couple of guys get the clutch cable snagged which kept the rider from steering the bike.
a cover on the cable or bar would work.
you could even slide a piece of clear heat shrink tubing over the clutch cable where it contacts the bar
