FWIW, i have 6-7000 miles on mine so far and have no problems and really love them. The reason they are on back order is that the MoCo finally made some pipes that people like as well as aftermarket brands. They are really great pipes. I think this issue is probably an isolated one.
I absolutely agree on the probable reason for back-order status. They strike a great balance between rumble and reasonable volume... I'm going to check the tightness of the baffle screws and see if it just needs a little repositioning in the pipe......
2014 FLHXS 3,000 miles. Street Cannons installed when I bought the bike in March. last month I noticed the right side looked to be backing out about 3/4", the HD dealer fixed it on the spot and no change since then. I do get some popping on decelleration, wonder if it's reason for concern?

Decel popping is normal when first installed w/o map update. Long term memory in ECM will eventually eliminate this as you ride the bike through various temperature cycles & load conditions. Ride it & enjoy!

Not the same issue - that's the muffler clamp that either came loose or wasn't tight in the first place.
I cancelled my order for the Street Cannons and ordered Supertrapp Stouts instead. About the same $$ and hopefully no gaps. Supposedly raises sound by only 2db. Heard some today. Nice low rumble.

I asked the dealer about mapping and was told the 2014 models don't need to be re-mapped for the slip on street cannons. 3,000 miles should be enough to eliminate popping if the BCM module "learns" as you ride, ya think? Leaving for Sturgis on 8/1 and don't want any issues.
After reading this thread I checked out my street cannons and indeed the left side was separating. Rode to my dealer and showed the service manager the issue. He had not heard of this problem.
Today he called me and said they have authorization to warranty the left side out.
I had a problem with left side and got replacement set about 250 miles ago. I may be pessimistically paranoid but the right side of the new set is showing signs of " moving out". Really wish HD would acknowledge and fix problem or refund $$. If this set claps out and they will only replace, I am going to demand new clamps. Wish I would have gone with another brand.
