Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I decided to order the Harley Run-Brake-Turn controller that mounts under the seat p/n 69461-06D for around $60 from Surdyke. Will probably order the custom dynamics LED plug ins just need to verify they are compatible. Even with LEDs this entire mod will be in the $125 area vs the $260 quoted by my dealer for their LED rear LED set with installation.
Just a note that if anyone else considers this module there is more than one model on the HD site. It is the -D model that is lisyed as compatible with my own and some of the other new bikes. There is also a -A module on the site that seems tied to certain older model bikes.
Prexflyr- the RED bulbs alone will not provide the running light/additional brake light function that I was seeking. The turn signals on the RKC are not running lights or brake lights without an adapter module.
I installed a badlands run/turn/stop module on my 08 road king, plug and play. If you really want leds it has a load eq and use the cd's like jberg said.
Need clarification please. I have the run/turn/stop module from Harley. Will front and rear LED's work with the factory module or do I need to buy a separate equalizer and sell the Harley module?
You are wasting your money with HD. Get LED's from Custom Dynamics. Lifetime warranty. You take your bulbs out and put their LED cluster in. Simple as that and a TON cheaper. They look better than HD as well!
