Your gonna have to decat your stock head pipe or change headers all together to achieve the sound your looking for. Most decat the stock headers first and eventually change to aftermarket headers because they're still not getting the sound they're looking for. Good luck.
No sir it doesn't require a dyno or the $500 SE tuner. It does however need a tuner of some type and a good base map to start from but IMO a dyno on a Stage 1 is throwing your money away.

Agreed. With my RC mufflers, V&H dresser duals, TTS, and Air Cleaner I'm in it for about $1450. Won't worry about doing a dyno run until I do my cams over this coming winter.
OP, I know the dresser duals may not have quite as much torque or down low power as the power duals, but I can tell you for sure that you will not be disappointed in the dresser dual & RC muffler combo for sound, quality and fit. Besides, with the AC and tuner I have more get up than stock anyways. Definitely worth the $$$$
