And yes on the newer bikes (I think 09 and up) you can get it off without removing the inner primary, they made an indent on the back on the inner. Not the case on my 05. Baker also makes an arm that they claim is better than stock:

Can't get it to open on the Baker website, but you get the idea. I unfortunately had to replace everything in a time crunch, so I replaced all with stock. So tightening that bolt is part of my maintenance. I would have been much happier to have had the time to order and wait for one of these improved arms.
