Yes I would tend to agree.. I was NOT bashing by any means... heck I am jealous.
I have true duals and will be upping my motor and really dont plan on changing my exhaust so I will likely suffer a bit too..
I didnt take it as bashing, just wanted to point out a contributing factor

Regarding the numbers, I will pull a quote from my post on roadglide.org.
I agree 100% I asked many ?'s as well and always got a straight answer. Isn't it great to just have her keep pulling!
Why do true duals limit the HP? And whats the best exhaust set up for maximum torque and HP.
Best is 2-1. Some 2-1 are better than others but my guess is the difference is marginal.
Next is 2-1-2.
Worst is duals, but some duals are better than others, V&H are among the worst, I'm told. That isnt a criticism, I'm sure appearance and sound were some of the design choices that affect how they make power.
If Jamie chimes in he can explain better, but true duals are much more free flowing, the dont yield a lot of back pressure, back pressure helps to make power.
Also the distance the exhaust needs to travel is a factor - on the V&H duals, Jamie pointed out that the distance the exhaust from the front cylinder needs to travel is twice as far as the rear cylinder, which affects scavenging.
Net is that with ported heads and true duals, the power comes on later.

Keith,
Thanks for the info and to be honest this is exactly what I needed as far as info. I am looking at the 107 kit from Fuel Moto. I really like the sound and look of the true duals and heard of the performance loss because of such. Your numbers are exactly what I need to see to make my decision.
Although the HP looks low, the torque looks acceptable and that is really were it counts on a bagger. I had 120lbs at 3k rpm and 100hp stuck in my head with true duals. Looks like with the 107 kit I was looking at and another batch of money for the CNC heads will get me there. Darn this internet thing and budgets.
Is the sound and look of the true duals worth the performance hit in your eyes?
