Likely its the better valve springs and I'm guessing the cams as well. For $200 Jamie refreshed my heads with better valve springs and new seals.

Nice results and it is nice that you weren't sold something just to sell your something..

I believe that the biggest thing that True Duals do not have is the scavenging effect... one cylinders exhaust pulse helping to pull the next cylinders exhaust out. 2-1 work best for this

You could make a true dual plenty free flowing as that is as much a function of diameters of piping and size of baffle/muffler. If you look at a Top Fuel anything they have just a single pipe off of each cylinder and they are the epitomy of HP per cubic inch... however they only have to do it over a narrow band and where that band falls is adjusted by length of the pipe.

I went with 2-1-2 knowing it was a compromise from but wanted the balanced look on my bagger.

I had the V&H true Duals on my 2010 EG, loved the sound but low end TQ was not as good. When I got my 2014 Ultra I got the 2-1-2 pipe, the TQ was great but the sound was not good. So I got the Rinehart Slim-Line Duals all good, S&S and other's have the same design head pipe with a H-pipe connecting front n rear pipes to get the back pressure. Now I can feel and hear both sides the same, 2-1-2 most comes out the right side even with full sized crossover.
