What did they do wrong??? Please help me out here.
Had my handlebars changed to reduced reach bars and now cruise will not disengage when I roll off the throttle. It will when I touch the brake or pull in the clutch. Just picked it up and on the way home (hour and half drive for me from my dealer) I scared the sh#@ out of myself when I tried to turn the throttle with cruise engaged and it wouldn't budge. What did they do wrong? Also noticed my whole switch housing is loose. I can wiggle it back and forth. Also my throttle cables are really loose. Seems like they're just hanging there. Should they be tight? I'm no mechanic but I didn't notice any of this before. I'm thinking maybe I'm just looking for stuff but it sure don't seem right. Should my brake line running along handlebar to switch housing be bent in several places or should it run straight? I don't know if I didn't pay attention to how the brake line looked before but I don't remember it looking all bent out of shape like it looks now.

Already called them. Said bring it by next time I'm down there way. Like I said an hour and half away but I will be down there tomorrow. There is a lot more to my headache about this (what should have been simple installation) like them ordering the wrong wire extension kit and having to be without my bike for three days but I'm tired of thinking about it right now. It was my 1000 mi. service so I thought I'd just have them put the bar on too while I had it in shop. There labor was reasonable 1 hour, $65. I think they will make it right but I am a little put out about it.

If they changed cables they might not have used one with the switch in it, or the decel cable isn't adjusted properly. When you roll off the throttle the decel cable compresses and activates the switch in the cable on the right side in front of the tank.

We are all human and make mistakes, they should have gone over with you what they did to see if you're ok with the bike. That's what my mechanic does. Might have been caught if they did that. I believe I'd have them pick it up, It's not safe to ride. I just wonder what else did they forget to do??

Ok I tightend the switch housing and took it for a ride and it started working ok. The torx screw on top was not tightened down. All the other seem to be ok. Think I should still take it back in? I am getting a knocking sound when I turn my front wheel to the right when its idleing. Can't pin point where its coming from. Don't know if its something loose and rattleing or something vibrating. Since it only does it when I turn wheel to the right I am assuming something is vibrating against something. Any ideas?
