Can anyone tell me if there has been any wind/buffeting problems with the 06 07 Electra Glide standards ? I have an 07 Super Glide that I can't ride 70 mph because of double vision . I've tried the tank lift and windshield and I still can't solve my problem so I'm thinking about getting rid of the bike and getting a touring model . I did a search but all I could find was info on an SG . Thanks
My 06 Ultra has no head buffeting. I had a 04 honda VT1100 and it had a very bad problem with HB. None with Ultra at any speed. At present I have the stock windshield. I do plan to try a shorter one soon that I can see over when it is raining.
I've got the Batwing with standard windshield and experience only minor buffetting 65 mph or faster.Below that speed, no buffetting. I really don't think it is possible to completely eliminate it, only minimize it. I really like the Batwing.
funny yu should ask...this is my second flht and if you have been following my post, its driving me crazy with all the wind buffeting.....my ff helmet is exacerbating the problem....im even trying to get someone to trade me parts to make mine a roadking....ive got a cee bailey windshield coming and im buying a new helmet tomorrow...like you, ive got blurred vision from all the buffeting...i can hold my arm up and block the wind and the buffeting stops....the wind baffle i installed, did nothing...
I went with the taller windshield because the standard one was level with my eyes so I was either trying to look over it or hunch down to look through it. I also got the chrome fork deflectors and the batwing add-ons for the cooler weather. Never have a problem.
If ya got head buffeting it's probably coming from under the windshield and up your legs right into your face. Try some lowers on the forks. Metric I had before the Ultra had head buffet real bad. Lowers on the forks nixed it.
