I've noticed recently that when I start to ride, as I release the clutch, the bike starts to move normal and then it suddenly grabs and jerks forward. Just a little grab, not hard enough to cause an issue, just more of a noticeable nuisance. I've worked at letting the clutch out very slow and it still happens. Any idea what's causing the clutch to suddenly grab?

I had the same thing after I had the dealer do a warranty replacement of my comp sprocket. They put Syn 3 in and when I replaced it with Rotella T, it went back to normal.
I pulled the primary access cover and I think the oil level looks fine, but how do I tell? I looked in the service manual and it says how much to put in when the primary oil is completely changed, but nothing about what the level should be if it needed to be topped up. What is the visual indicator that there is enough oil, the manual cautions about over filling.

Oil should be at the bottom of the clutch basket, it says it in the manual......... check it out.........
The clutch plates (...I think that's what they are) are just barely dipping into the oil. I'm guessing that's about the correct oil level, correct?
Yes, the bottom of the plates just touching the oil. or, like the post above me says you can drain the whole thing and add new fluid to the amount in the service manual.............. in my case(a 2009 street glide) I add 38 ounces.........
I added a little more oil to the primary, I was just a little low, but not much. However, this did not fix the problem. I took it for a ride over the weekend and still have the same issue. Any other thoughts on what could be the cause?
