Is It Normal
I just installed a new V&H VO2 heavy breather a/c with a Kuryakyn Ally Cat cover and Fuel Pack FP3. I already had the V&H fishtail slip ons installed. I hear a noise from the air cleaner..... kinda like a sucking gurgling. Also the exhuast sound more like a sputter rather than a crisp crackle (this is after the a/c and fuel pack install). Over all the exhaust is a little quieter now also. Right now the fuel pack is on Auto Tune.
this is the air rushing into the throat- there are also pulses from the exhaust system which affect the air flow so it is not a constant, but fluctuates
the stock housing is for noise emissions, so now you know what it was muffling.
I have no experience with the krapkin, in the past they sold chrome geegaws with magic opening doors and stuff, any of that on there? on loose parts?
the exhaust note will have changed as the mixture has changed, it could even be that the ignition timing is changing as the "tuner" adjusts for conditions.
very generally a crackly some pipe sound can be indication of lean and while a more muffly deeper sound can result from overly rich mixture, but I wouldn;t think too much on that
